Five Good Things – March

Five Good Things

Hey my lovelies, it’s time for my Five Good Things from March. I will share with you what I have been up to and what made me happy in March. There’s loads to tell you so grab yourself a cuppa, get comfortable and get reading.

Rituals app for Meditation/Relaxation

I have never been the person who meditates, in fact I find it extremely difficult to focus on something without getting distracted. At the same time, I am that person who over-thinks, over-analyses and finds it hard to let go. When I heard about the Rituals app from one of my favourite YouTubers Anna, I thought to give it a try. What I love about it is that you can choose how many minutes you want to meditate and the results you are expecting. I have started with the 5 minute one (baby steps) and I find it very relaxing. I try to do this at the end of the day before sleeping. It really helps me slowing down and just relax and feel calm. You can get the free app on iTunes or Google Play.

Trinket dishes from Anthropologie

If you have been following me on Instagram, you may have seen the Anthropologie trinket dishes that I have recently purchased. They are doing a pretty darn job of making my work desk look very attractive. If you are looking for personalised gifts, I would highly recommend them. The zodiac one is perfect for a birthday gift, while the alphabet one can be a gift for any occasion.

Skincare secret – Drink more Water

I was speaking to one of my colleagues the other day and we happened to discuss our ages. To be honest, I was shocked to know hers. I would have guessed she was 10 years younger than what she actually is. I had to know her “secret”. And it’s no secret actually, she drinks a LOT of water. Now I am a self-confessed skincare junkie. I love finding out the best products in the market, reading reviews about them, and building my own skincare routine(read about it HERE). I quite diligently stick to it and have seen good results. But I can be a little hit & miss on my water intake when I am at home. Her “secret” has motivated me to drink more water and keep hydrated. If you find it hard to remember, I suggest adding reminders on your phone. Worked for me 😉

The world’s largest LEGO® exhibition inspired by DC Characters

So, last weekend I did something I wouldn’t normally do. Mr AW wanted to see a Lego exhibition and I agreed, because he is kinda my favourite πŸ˜‰ The exhibition displays the world’s largest collection of DC super-heroes made entirely of Lego bricks, created by renowned Lego artist Nathan Sawaya. Think of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the Joker, to name a few. I am really glad I went  because I was super impressed, to say the least. The scale, the details and the hard work put into it is incredible. The Art of the Brick Exhibition in London is open until 4th September 2017. Buy tickets HERE.

Oranges

I have just realised that I have started liking oranges. Nagpur, my hometown in India is known as the Orange City, it is known for its orange produce. Yet, growing up I was never fond of them. I liked them juiced, but I would never eat them. However, now it’s a completely different story. In my office, we get a fruit box delivery twice a week and I always find myself reaching for the oranges. The small, sweet, succulent oranges! Now I can’t wait to go back to Nagpur and try some of those oranges it is so famous for πŸ™‚

So, those were my Five Good Things from March. Catch up on my other “Five Good Things” posts HERE.
